We had the chance to visit ZENG on their Grand Opening to experience first-hand what the new restaurant on the 30/F of V Point in Causeway Bay is all about and has to offer Hong Kong.
The first thing that caught our eye was of course the view. ZENG has an outdoor open terrace which is perfect for enjoying one of their signature cocktails, shots and their dishes.
We go to try their four shooters called Feng, Lin, Huo, Shan at the price of HKD388. We are told the name means “Wind, Forest, Fire and Mountain” in Chinese and these cocktails are inspired by Sun Tzu’s The Art of War, which contained the phrase, “as swift as wind, as gentle as forest, as fierce as fire, as unshakable as mountain”.
Once we go to explored ZENG, we soon discovered a private room that seats up to 18 guests. Surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows so if there are any firework displays and you are looking for an amazing view, paired with great food, drink and friends, then this is would be one of our top choices.
The menu offers a selection of Asian and Western delicacies and fusion dishes and one of the ones that we got to try was the Truffle Flat Rice Noodles with Ribeye – a dish inspired by Hong Kong’s stir-fried beef noodles as well as by influenced by the owner of ZENG after travelling around the world.
You really should try it out for yourself and make sure you get to enjoy food and drink on the terrace as much as we did!
