The year of Horse has been a wonderful and eventful one but now it’s time to move onto the next – the year of Goat! As always, there will be fireworks display on the second day (THIS FRIDAY) and just in case if you want a place to indulge while you're enjoying the spectacular view, we have gathered a list of restaurant just for you!  Read on and check out our guide to Chinese New Year dining with a view and get booking if you still haven't yet!

 

AQUA

Aqua's location makes it a crowd's favourite for any firework watching nights. This year, the restaurant will be serving Japanese and Italian dishes as well as the exclusive Golden Dragon cocktail (apple, gin, jasmine and champagne). Upstairs at the bar aqua spirit, guests can enjoy a spectacular view of the fireworks with drinks, free flow canapés and a live DJ later in the evening from 7:30pm for $598HKD.

AQUALUNA

Hong Kong’s iconic red sail junk boat has always been the best spot to watch the firework every year. Boarding from North Point or Hung Hom, the junk will sail around the harbour from 7 to 5pm and will be perfectly positioned at 8pm to take in the best view of the fireworks overhead. Enjoy some delicious canapés whilst watching the show!

HUTONG

Famous for its Northern Chinese cuisine – Hutong is another good spot for the fireworks. This Chinese New Year,  Hutong will be serving dinner including traditional sea cucumber fried rice with minced pork and spring onion and a Chef’s special of Pan-fried Atlantic cod fillet with soya sauce.

OYSTER & WINE BAR

Create your own person set menu by simply choosing one dish from each category – You will have some seafood to start off your mean, followed by soup (either lobster bisque or sweet corn cream soup) then appetizer (we spot Foie Gras there…).  There will be beef wellington, grilled Boston lobster, pan-fried Alaskan black cod fish, and chicken ballotine for you to choose for main course.  Enjoy your personal faves with the breath-taking fireworks view!

SKY LOUNGE

The Chinese New Year Fireworks Dinner offers a cold buffet for you to start (caviar, Boston lobster, Alaskan King crab leg…we will have to say, the list is long), followed by soup, then a selection of Beef Wellington and pan-friend Alaskan black cod filet for main course.

THE HARBOURVIEW

The restaurant specially presents “Chinese New Year Firework Display” Dinner Buffet on the second day of CNY, when the firework display show will take place.  Highlights of the buffet include double-boiled fish maw with chicken and pork, grilled tiger prawn with garlic butter sauce, abalone and seaweed salad, and a sweet and fresh assorted seafood platter.
