Tsim Sha Tsui is famous for its iconic famous view of the Victoria Harbour. But if you move further away from the busy tourist area, at this little alley of Austin Avenue (Not Austin Road), you would see Scarlett Café & Wine Bar with their red logo & a black door. It was not that obvious but as soon as you open the door and step inside, the space design is trendy with a mix of high and low seatings which offering you a casual and great atmosphere.
The reason why we are talking about Scarlett Café & Wine Bar is that we were so honoured to get invited by the new Executive Chef, Julien Ombredane. He is specialized in French and Mediterranean cuisine and we got a chance to try his new Chef Table menu today!
Once you have sat down, Clement, the operations manager would have come up to you with a gentle smile and ask your beverages choices. At the same time, we just chat along with other guests on the same table.
The menu is very considerable with giving us sufficient advice to match with different wine for pairing along with each dish. It was quite impressive that they serve some unique wine in such a small restaurant. My favourite dishes were Butter Squash Soup and Paella Risotto with Scallops, Prawns, and Squid & Mussels.
Look at the colour and how coordinated the food has been presented to you! Most importantly, the wine choices fit so perfectly with each dish.
It was quite a big feast! I was so satisfied with their service and atmosphere, and most importantly their quality of food with really affordable prices. Not a bad idea for booking a table for your Valentine's day dinner with your beloved one.
