"The countryside scenes are amongst the rare treasures of Hong Kong and would soon become real scarcity given the recently announced urbanization policies to span across those scenic landscapes in the New Territories. Against this backdrop, photographer Hillman, born and raised in the rural parts of Hong Kong, thrives to demonstrate through his works that the countryside is a real natural treasure.
British artist Billy Childish will be debuting his first show in Hong Kong hosted by Lehmann Maupin this March 27th to May 3rd, showcasing his large- scale portraiture and landscape in forms of raw linen paintings.
I’m one of those typical photo takers now a days; I snap everything with my mobile phone and have a gazillion filters to make it appear more professional than it actually is. I always wanted to try and use a SLR, since girls with SLR looks so cool; but then again, it is quite a big investment and commitment to make. Knowing barely anything about professional photography, and nothing about wild animal photography; this exhibition and seminar session held by Canon really opened my eyes and delivered quite an impression about the art in taking photos of wildlife animals.
