The Astor, design-driven all-day dining restaurant inside Eaton HK has launched a decadent Whiskey and Chocolate afternoon tea buffet for Christmas. From 5 December 2020 to 31 January 2021 from 3.15pm – 5.15pm on both weekends and public holidays (HK$228 up per person +10%), guests can indulge in both savory and sweet items that pay homage to the prized liquor and premium cocoa.
Desserts take center stage with decadent creations like Dark Chocolate Whiskey Mousse, Coffee Cream with Whiskey Foam, Whiskey and Rum Baba, Chocolate Choux Cream Puff, Jumbo Chocolate Fondant with Whiskey and Orange Whiskey Madeleines. An incredible Valrhona Chocolate Board is a cacao-rich buffet in itself whilst classics like Stollen and Panettone are also available.
Savoury items are not overlooked - festive Roasted Pineapple Honey & Glazed Pork Belly Carvery is served with whiskey-spiked mustard sauce whilst Turkey Dogs get an upgrade with Whiskey Ketchup. Good old BBQ Wings are marinaded in sticky whiskey sauce whilst craveable Grilled Corn smeared in bourbon is a must-try.
Asian items also get a boozy makeover in the form of Ham & Pineapple Skewers with a Whiskey Glaze, Whiskey BBQ Pork Ribs and beloved Japanese Fried Chicken with a whiskey mayonnaise.
