What to Eat

Any plan for this Saturday, the 20th anniversary of HKSAR’s establishment (1st July)? I have an idea for you – the chic rooftop restaurant located in One Peking’s top floor, aqua and Hutong introduces bespoke menu for the occasion which means you can enjoy your meal while seeing the fireworks and the stunning view of Victoria Harbour.

At aqua, diners will be treated to a 5-course menu priced at $1,497 per person featuring bespoke creations from the restaurant’s contemporary Italian and Japanese cuisines. Dishes include Sustainable bluefin tuna sashimi and yellow tail carpaccio with crisp garlic & ponzu jelly, and Calamarata pasta with Mediterranean mussels, wild clams & shrimps finished with a basil & garlic foam.

At the fiery Northern Chinese restaurant Hutong, guests can enjoy an elaborate 6-dish dinner at $1,488 per person, or 8 courses for $1,888. A lively appetiser comes in the form of Lightly seared Hokkaido scallops with sesame sauce, followed by Hutong’s renowned Crispy lamb ribs, marinated for 24hours, braised and then deep-fried and served with pancakes. Hutong’s masterchefs have crafted a delicate dim sum inspired by Hong Kong’s icon – the bauhinia flower. To honour the occasion, Hutong is offering complimentary bauhinia flower baos throughout July for all parties of four or more.
