1) Seafood Room


WHEN: 24-25 December

HOW MUCH: $1,098HKD for four courses, $1,298HKD for seven courses

WHAT: Seafood Room’s “Feast of the Seven Fishes” Christmas Menu takes on the Italian tradition of eating seafood on the two important holy days, and spotlights a diverse range of dishes, including baked oysters with gruyere cheese, Cantonese mud crab and sea bass with artichokes, cep mushroom and Madeira sauce.

2) FoFo by el Willy


WHEN: 24 December

HOW MUCH: $738HKD per person

WHAT: FoFo’s Christmas Eve dinner menu includes a choice of mains between Iberico pork and barbecued Japanese wagyu beef with black winter truffle. Add $128HKD for 5g of black truffle in any dish.

3) VEA Restaurant & Lounge

HOW MUCH: $1,980HKD per person

WHAT: Ever wanted to eat your dinner when it's spread like artwork across your table? While the sweeping cityscape outside on the terrace is sure worth a moment to take in, the impressing views at VEA will mainly be on your table. If you're down for a taste of old Chinese recipes with modern French cooking, and plenty of imagination—that which earned the restaurant a Michelin star this year—VEA's your ticket this holiday.

4) Aqua and Armani/Aqua

WHEN: 24-25 December

HOW MUCH: Aqua - $1,498HKD per person for five courses on the 24th; a la carte on the 25th. Armani/Aqua - $798HKD per person for five courses on the 24th; $648HKD per person for semi-buffet dinner on the 25th.

WHAT: Aqua in Tsim Sha Tsui, known for its expansive harbour views, and Armani/Aqua in Central for its terrace in the midst of skyscrapers, will be serving up unconventional takes on classic holiday staples. Try the main: a rolled turkey dish stuffed with chestnuts and served over truffle puree and fresh cranberries. Don’t forget to order the special Christmas cocktail, the Golden Halo ($188HKD), a spiced rum drink, brushed with an edible gold rim.

5) Kitchen at W Hong Kong

WHAT: A dinner buffet with all the fixings of a traditional Christmas feast and more; in fact, there are over 88 choices for food. An added plus is the humbling views: looking over West Kowloon from high on up.

6) Inakaya

HOW MUCH: $2,680HKD per person

WHAT: This year’s Christmas Eve Kaiseki Dinner is planned up by Inakaya’s Executive Chef Nozawa Masayoshi: expect his dishes to be beautifully presented, expressing the feeling and flavours of wintertime, all using seasonal ingredients. It’ll be a hearty affair featuring the likes of cod fish roe, anglerfish liver and teppanyaki wagyu beef. Make sure to grab a seat by the window for the ultimate backdrop to your meal.

8) Uptop Bistro & Bar


WHEN: 23-25 December

HOW MUCH: $788HKD per person

WHAT: This cosy restaurant perched at the top of Popway Hotel—which just celebrated its first anniversary—should be at the top of your list if you’re looking for a quiet, intimate Christmas meal. The menu starts off with a sea urchin risotto, and if that’s not enough to whet your appetite, the Osso Buco or grilled turkey and pork belly dish as mains should do the trick.

WHAT: Up on the 19th floor above The One, you can expect a big, bold Italian feast at Harlan’s to go along with its floor-to-ceiling windows and views of the harbour.
