What to Eat

 

There are always something about Lobster Bar that make it stands out, the sophisticated interior, the grand piano on the side and freshly named one of the “World’s 50 Best Bars 2017”. However, they don’t seem to stop the bar from pursuit of higher quality and standards in bartending from time to time. In fact, thy have just launched 10 new signature cocktails.

While creating these drinks, Bar Manager Anne-Sophie Cros and Head Bartender Paolo De Venuto were inspired by “The Past” – flavours and traditions of yesteryear; “The Present” – the here and now; and “The Future” – avant-grade visionary.

I went and tried a few last week and here are some highlights from the menu.

The Therapy (Chivas Regal 12 year old, Mango, Horchata and Vetiver), made from a home-made horchata blend of cashew nuts, rice, sugar and water creates a unique texture and mouthfeel. (Far left)

The crowd favourite, gin-based Taste of Ling (Beefeater 24, Elderflower, Ginger and Vanilla) also has the most elegant glass tea cup. (Front)

Complex, yet refreshing Rubino Seco (Absolut Elyx, Lillet Rouge, Sherry and Bitters) is a dry sipping drink in classy martitni style.(Second right)
