Have you heard of King’s cake? It’s called Galette des Rois in French and it’s tradition to share this delicious pastry with your family and friends at Epiphany on 6 January in France. You can enjoy the sweet treat throughout January in French Creations’ restaurants.

Epiphany falls 12 days after Christmas Day to mark the end of the Christmas season and a visit to the baby Jesus from the three kings or three Wise Men but you don’t have to be French or religious to have it. King’s cake is more like a pie with flaky and golden puff  filled with cream made of sweet almonds, butter, eggs and sugar, and  a small charm hidden somewhere – whoever has the small charm at the end can wear the crown and be the King or Queen.

Priced at $70/piece ; $360/whole, serves 4 to 6 people, it can also be takeaway.
