Ole Spanish Restaurant has been established in Hong Kong for some time now and every time I have been there I have had a very enjoyable evening of Spanish food, drink and performance by their musicians. This time was to try their new 7 course-menu with dishes from the Andalusia region of Spain including the one above (Southern Spain Seafoods Stew).
So where is Andalusia? It is the southernmost Spanish province located at the bottom of Europe and just above Africa, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean.
Antonio Martin and Jesus Pascual who are the two Spanish chefs at Ole, have created 3 brand new menus, each specific to a certain region of Spain. These are Andalusia, Northern and Central Spain and guests can experience these menus over the next 6 months. They are currently offering the menu from the Andalusia region, which is what I was fortunate enough to experience this week.
I can honestly say each of the dishes was very different from each other as well as full of flavour. I decided to select three of the dishes that stood out the most for me.
Smoked Sardine Fillet with Summer Veggies and Toast.
Seville Style Beef Oxtail with Veggies and Potatoes.
Tocino de cielo
The 7 course-menu is priced at just HK$480 per head and available now.
A great Spanish cuisine experience menu to enjoy with a groups of friends or even a romantic date night, just take a look at the interior of the restaurant below.
