When I heard Forest Bird opened its doors, I immediately loved the whole concept of an airy cafe combined with a women's clothing boutique – French dessert and designer clothes, what more can a girl want!
The super cosy three-storey boutique store is the newest addition to Staunton Street and was founded and designed by the very fashion passionate Ulrike Pohl. The interior of this tres chic boutique reflects her background in architecture, interior design and taste for high-fashion.
Forest Bird features amazing designer brands that are handpicked by Ulrike straight off the runway shows from Paris, Berlin and London and are sold exclusively here which means you can’t find the same fabulous items anywhere else in Hong Kong. Pieces like Haute Hippie, Sea, Ru du Mail and Bruno Pieters are all on 50% off sale at the moment with new arrival fall winter collections available in store as well.My favourite piece is this Bruno Pieters romper on the left.)It’s a lovely beige colour with structured feminine silhouettes and would go so well with black pumps.
Ulrike also picked many simple and sophisticated pieces that will give a modern twist to your daily office attire. No more boring black and white suits and unshapely skirts. Forest Bird provides an invigorating addition to any wardrobe.
Shopping always works up an appetite so do try out the cafe’s gourmet organic coffee, “Revolution Tea” and their of course, scrumptious dessert menu from Paul Lafayet. The macaroons’ pinks, yellows and oranges popped so brightly beneath the glass display it’s hard to resist sinking my chompers into all of them. Flavours like chocolate, rose, mango and caramel are all Ulrike’s favourite and taste like little pieces of pure heaven.
