Chosen by a professional judging panel of world recognized art professionals; The Sovereign Art Foundation presents 30 shortlisted finalists from across Asia to compete in the 10th edition of The Sovereign Asian Art Prize, with works exhibiting at Exchange Square until the 8th of May.



From across 12 territories across Asia engaging in art movements from Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Turkey; the Swiss private banking group Bank Julius Baer sponsoring art prize will announce its winner on the 9th of May, 2014. Aiming to raise money for rehabilitation, education and therapy programs through the mediums of art for children in need; the 2003 established Sovereign Art Foundation have been hosted around Asia, Africa and Europe.

As one of the most prestigious contemporary visual arts awards hosting in Asia- Pacific with a grand USD $30,000 prize to the winning artist and USD $1,000 Schoeni Prize to artist most voted online or in person for their piece displayed in the exhibition.

Ranging from fresh new artists to mid- career artists being chosen by two separate panels over the world for the first time this year; shortlisted artworks will also be ready for auction at the Sovereign Asian Art Prize Gala Dinner on the 9th of May, 2014 with the proceeds going half to the artist and half to the charity partners.
